Software Engineer (Java/iGaming)

Location: Marousi, Greece; hybrid work

Light & Wonder develops cross-platform games and software for land-based and digital gaming, including the OpenGaming platform.

What you will do

• Design and develop functionality using established coding standards and patterns.
• Write unit and integration tests for Java code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute across the full software development life cycle in an agile team.
• Design, build, and run products and services hosted on premises and in the cloud.
• Review and refactor existing code to improve reliability, robustness, performance, and operability.

Requirements

• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a related scientific or engineering field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience using Java.
• At least 2 years of experience working in agile teams.
• Experience developing RESTful applications with Spring Boot or related frameworks.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL, DDL, and ACID concepts.
• Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments and excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Docker containers.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
