Principal Protocol Engineer (Web3)

Location: Must be based in New York City, NY. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in-office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Own the design and evolution of the hirify.global Token Design Standard, including issuance and compliance logic.
• Author and maintain the proprietary reference implementation library for licensees.
• Define governance mechanisms for the standard to ensure commercial viability.
• Lead chain selection strategy and integration architecture for permissioned and public infrastructure.
• Represent the company as a technical authority to partners, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Lead technical integrations with custodians and cross-chain interoperability frameworks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in smart contract or protocol development.
• Expert-level proficiency in Solidity.
• Deep understanding of U.S. equity market lifecycle mechanics and token standards design.
• Proven ability to present technical specifications to non-technical audiences and regulators.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Rust (Solana/Substrate).
• Prior authorship or editorial contribution to a token standard (e.g., ERC).
• Familiarity with institutional infrastructure projects like DTCC or SWIFT.
