Safety Inspector (Construction)

What you will do

• Oversee subcontractors engaged in mechanical and electrical work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor construction activities to verify adherence to Federal, State, and local safety requirements.
• Lead site safety meetings and provide safety training to craft personnel.
• Lead investigations into safety accidents or incidents and determine suitable corrective actions.
• Prepare daily inspection reports detailing general observations and required corrective measures.
• Identify hazardous conditions and coordinate "HOLD" orders on work with the Site Project Manager.

Requirements

• Must have CSP, HSE, or relevant industry certifications.
• Strong familiarity with applicable Swedish national and local safety rules and regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in safety within a construction setting.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Boden, Sweden.
• Physical ability to lift 50 kg, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work at heights.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFCOM, Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO), and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Knowledge of Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs) and Powered Industrial Trucks.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Experience managing Respiratory Protection and Fall Protection programs.
