What you will do

• Architect and bootstrap a greenfield, highly-scalable multi-tenant AKS platform from the ground up.
• Serve as the authoritative Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Kubernetes ecosystem to guide architectural direction.
• Establish an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and define the platform operating model for self-service capabilities.
• Mentor and transition the in-house engineering team into a high-performing internal platform team.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade logging, metrics, and tracing using OpenTelemetry.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using Terraform/Open Tofu.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating multi-cluster AKS in production environments (multi-region or multi-tenant).
• Proven experience building and architecting complex Kubernetes platforms from scratch.
• Deep knowledge of GitOps (Argo CD/Flux), service mesh, and OPA/Gatekeeper policies.
• Strong security awareness including CAF/ALZ patterns and least-privilege IAM.
• Experience working with regulated financial services workloads on Azure.
• Must be based in Spain or the UK (Greater London).
