TL;DR

Location: Onsite in São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo. GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

  • Direct, supervise, and mentor environmental professionals, providing clear expectations and development.
  • Coordinate environmental operations and drive risk reduction and process efficiency across the region.
  • Partner with Business Unit Leaders to plan and execute environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key environmental performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal environmental standards.
  • Facilitate the read-across of best practices and standard work to improve consistency across sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Solid experience in EHS, safety, or operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Expressive leadership experience managing environmental or operations teams.
  • Proven track record of implementing environmental programs and process improvements.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil without sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or related).
