Salary: €3,059 – €3,881 gross per month

What you will do

• Investigate how tramp elements (Cu, Sn, Ni) affect the microstructure and performance of dual-phase automotive steel.
• Analyze the impact of impurities during hot rolling, cold rolling, and annealing processes.
• Develop process strategies to mitigate negative effects and support high-quality steel production from recycled materials.
• Perform experimental work, advanced microstructural analysis, and mechanical testing in collaboration with Tata Steel Netherlands.
• Contribute to the academic community through co-supervision of students and guest lectures.

Requirements

• MSc degree in materials science, solid-state physics, materials engineering, or related disciplines.
• Solid background in metal science and experience in microstructure development.
• Proficiency in microstructural characterization.
• Proven experience in writing scientific reports.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
