TL;DR

Forward Deployed Engineer (AI): Building and deploying automations, agents, and workflows inside customer organizations using a work ontology platform with an accent on AI agents and process integration. Focus on validating workflows, handling edge cases in production, and translating technical constraints into implementation risks.

Location: In-person in San Francisco, CA (5 days a week). Up to 25% global travel. E-3 sponsorship available for Australians to relocate.

Salary: US$180,000 to US$250,000

What you will do

• Deploy inside customer environments and own transformation delivery end-to-end.
• Build programmatic automations, multi-step AI agents, and workflows based on discovered processes.
• Integrate automations into existing customer systems or build and own them independently.
• Manage incomplete requirements, governance constraints, and production rollouts.
• Measure outcomes using ROI and productivity tooling to demonstrate impact.
• Report real-world signal from customer environments back to the product team.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack or backend engineering skills in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI agents or workflow automations in real environments.
• Ability to deliver work in ambiguous environments with incomplete requirements.
• Must be based in San Francisco.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% globally.
• English hirify.global required.

Nice to have

• Experience with RPA, process mining, or enterprise automation tooling.
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks and agent design patterns.
• Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed professional services.
• Experience deploying on AWS Lambda or ECS.
