What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto NGFWs, including security zones, NAT, policies, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and GlobalProtect VPN.
• Implement Panorama for centralized management and HA firewall clusters across multi-site and hybrid cloud (Azure, GCP) environments.
• Configure and optimize IPS/IDS, URL filtering, WildFire, DNS security, and SSL decryption; monitor alerts and perform rule audits.
• Troubleshoot issues, conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and collaborate with NOC/SOC teams.
• Lead firewall migrations/upgrades, participate in audits, and mentor junior engineers as perimeter security SME.

Requirements

• 7+ years network engineering; 5+ years hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong experience with Panorama, GlobalProtect VPN, IPSec/SSL VPNs, BGP/OSPF, network segmentation, zero-trust design.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, SSL/TLS; HA deployments and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related (or equivalent experience).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and independent leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE).
• Cloud firewalls (VM-Series), Prisma Access/SASE, automation (Python, Ansible, REST APIs), SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel).
• Experience in large enterprise or multi-data center environments.
