TL;DR
BSP Software Engineer (Automotive): Developing BSP drivers and Linux Kernel software for telematics products with an accent on ARM-based platforms, modem SoCs, RTOS, and embedded Linux. Focus on board bring-up, driver porting, hardware validation, Linux performance optimization, and supporting automotive customers.
Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with onsite collaboration three days per week
Salary: RON 246,000–360,800 annual gross base salary

What you will do
- Develop and design BSP software for telematics products.
- Bring up ED, DV, and PV boards during the development cycle.
- Port drivers to support libraries, RTOS, and Linux platforms.
- Support hardware teams with EMC testing and related validation activities.
- Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics, computer science and technology, automation, physics, or a related field.
- Experience with ARM architecture and modem SoCs such as Qualcomm, Samsung, or MediaTek.
- Experience developing Linux or RTOS kernels and drivers.
- At least 3 years of C/C++ programming experience on Linux or other embedded systems.
- Knowledge of SDK development, software design, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Good English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
Nice to have
- Linux performance optimization experience.
- Experience with KVM, Xen, QNX, or other hypervisors.
- CAN/LIN driver development and CANoe, VSPY, or related tools.
- Open-source community participation and automotive industry experience, including TS16949 or QS9000 environments.
