What you will do

• Explore, analyze, and visualize data to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities.
• Develop data science outputs including ML models, forecasts, reports, and decision-support tools.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product teams to deliver usable solutions.
• Document methods, assumptions, limitations, and validation results clearly and responsibly.
• Ensure data ethics, privacy, and security are integrated throughout the data science lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience applying data science or statistical methods to solve real-world problems.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for analysis and modelling.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, statistical testing, model validation, and performance metrics.
• Ability to prepare, clean, and transform data for analysis.
• Capability to communicate technical findings and visualizations to non-technical audiences.
• Must be able to work onsite in the West Midlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with NLP, time series, optimization, predictive analytics, or simulation.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, notebooks, Git, APIs, or data pipelines.
• Experience delivering outputs within Agile or multidisciplinary teams.
