What you will do

• Design systems, build proof-of-concepts, and deliver new functionality including APIs, data processing, and automation as part of cross-functional teams.
• Develop backend services and web-application-hosted tools within the hirify.global platform.
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate with peers, and contribute ideas during research and experimentation.
• Improve the codebase by automating, refactoring, and documenting high-value areas.
• Work across financial data modelling, access-control, emissions data, ML/AI integrations, data visualisation, and automation.
• Collaborate with financial, legal, and editorial experts, explaining technical concepts clearly.

Requirements

• Experience as Full-Stack or Backend-leaning Engineer in a product team, contributing to system design and delivering production software.
• Hands-on experience designing data flows from storage to APIs with best practices for validation and reliability.
• Experience with Python and web frameworks like FastAPI with typing and Pydantic.
• Experience building and consuming APIs in service-oriented architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Collaborative communicator comfortable with engineers and non-technical stakeholders; care about code quality, testability, and reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Lambda, Docker, PostgreSQL.
