What you will do

• Work with mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, and structural engineers to inform design and development of new technologies.
• Use Python to predict product performance, run simulations, interpret results, and communicate to design teams.
• Develop tools for design, analysis, data processing, and reporting.
• Maintain Python codebases for network traffic, control-logic, physics simulations.
• Build reusable libraries, utilities, and visualization tools for internal projects.
• Collaborate with non-software stakeholders, explaining technical ideas clearly.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, structural engineering, or related field.
• Professional experience using Python to solve complex engineering problems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-software specialists.
• Proactive, self-directed learning mindset.
• Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in product development, R&D, or applied engineering via simulation.
• Proficiency with NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, NetworkX.
• Knowledge of rigid body dynamics, controls, optimisation, vector mathematics.
• Familiarity with system-level modelling in mechanical, electrical, or mobility domains.
• Solid software practices: version control, testing, documentation, code review.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
