Network Operations Trainee

TL;DR

Network Operations Trainee: Support engineering and operations teams in monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing performance of hirify.global’s global network with an accent on network health, incident response, and availability. Focus on troubleshooting incidents, documenting SOPs and playbooks, and participating in on-call rotations.

Location: Singapore. Visa sponsorship: Not available in the EU; for Hong Kong requires 2+ years experience and related degree; for Singapore and UK only for mid-career or above.

What you will do

• Monitor network health, performance, and availability across global infrastructure.
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents.
• Collaborate with engineers to document SOPs and incident playbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours incident response.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Network Engineering, or related.
• Good understanding of networking concepts.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana) or willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication; team player.

Nice to have

• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
