What you will do

• Perform nuclear criticality safety reviews of existing and proposed nuclear material operations, facilities, designs, and modifications.
• Develop nuclear criticality safety evaluations and program documents using software like SCALE or MCNP.
• Review evaluations and documents for technical accuracy and compliance with NRC/DOE standards.
• Track and trend NCS performance, support operability evaluations, and program implementation/training.
• Support development of hazards analysis, accident analysis, and safety basis documentation.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Nuclear Engineering (or related field) and 3+ years of related nuclear criticality safety experience.
• Understanding of nuclear criticality safety codes, regulations, and industry practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency with nuclear criticality safety software (e.g., SCALE, MCNP).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess or be able to obtain DOE “L/Q” clearance. US citizenship required.
