Junior Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build and improve backend services powering real-time AI features and search.
• Design and implement APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Contribute across the stack, including backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers and ML engineers.
• Manage tasks from implementation through deployment with mentorship and code reviews.
• Participate in technical discussions to learn and apply engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solid foundation in computer science.
• Familiarity with at least one backend language (Python, Go, Node.js, or similar).
• Basic experience working with APIs (REST, gRPC, or equivalent).
• Must be based in Berlin.
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (including internships).
• Exposure to databases like PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or Elasticsearch.
• Basic understanding of system design, distributed systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and AI workflows.
