What you will do

• Analyze work orders, estimate worker hours, and create machining schedules to meet deadlines.
• Compute stock needs, requisition materials, and plan material flow through the department.
• Interpret specifications and job orders, assign duties to workers, and interface across organization for customer deadlines.
• Inspect parts for conformance, direct adjustments to machines, and resolve production issues.
• Develop and adjust work procedures, recommend improvements to methods, equipment, and working conditions.
• Maintain records, justify capital equipment, and directly supervise 10-50 employees.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school, or 3-5 years related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, government regulations.
• Ability to present information to peers and management, define problems, collect data, draw conclusions.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
