What you will do

• Manage operational incidents and escalations for on-prem storage systems.
• Design and implement application monitoring to ensure performance meets business goals.
• Define service level indicators (SLIs) and objectives (SLOs) in collaboration with stakeholders and DevSecOps teams.
• Implement strategies to cap operational load and handle overflow using specialized tooling and metrics.
• Collaborate across the software lifecycle to build, test, and deploy changes to robust systems.
• Partner with customers to provide strategic advice and technical designs for end-to-end services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in operational management, including incident management and escalations.
• Must be based in Ohio for client-facing interactions.
• Experience with Windows server, Linux (RHEL preferred), and UNIX (AIX, Solaris).
• Solution and design experience with Hyperscaler Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in data formats and scripting languages including JSON, YAML, Bash, and/or PowerShell.

Nice to have

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly technical scientific discipline.
• Expertise with Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Experience with distributed technologies and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in leveraging open-source tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
