Remote Senior Client Bookkeeper (Philippines)

Location: Remote, Philippines-based. Availability is required five days a week during standard professional hours, with a minimum of four hours of overlap with the US-based team.

Salary: USD $1,500–$2,500 monthly base rate, depending on experience, plus a quarterly profit-sharing bonus.

Cloud-accounting services provider delivering bookkeeping, payroll, bill-pay, invoicing, and sales tax filing services to US-based clients.

What you will do

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping operations for multiple clients, including transaction entry, invoicing, bill payments, payroll preparation, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accrual entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Organize and complete client tasks in Karbon, the practice management system.
• Coordinate with senior staff and ask clarifying questions when client records or systems require review.
• Interact with clients to answer specific questions and request missing information.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Philippines.
• At least three years of full-charge bookkeeping experience in a multi-client environment with US-based clients, preferably at a CPA or CAS firm.
• College degree required.
• At least two years of experience with QBO, Bill.com or Ramp, Gusto or other payroll software, and cloud accounting technologies.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Must be available five days per week and work with at least four hours of overlap with the US-based team.
• Must have reliable home internet and an environment suitable for video and phone calls.

• Experience with Karbon and Double.
• Experience in a CPA or CAS firm.
