What you will do

• Develop new features for mobile app users focusing on high performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with app engineers to define API contracts and optimize data flows.
• Architect and develop event-driven microservices using RabbitMQ.
• Build and evolve the Backend for Frontend (BFF) layer to meet mobile-specific needs.
• Ensure software quality through automated tests (TDD/BDD) and robust CI/CD practices.
• Participate in high-level architectural discussions and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and Nest.js.
• Proven experience delivering production systems with API-first and scalable architectures.
• Proficiency with Python.
• DevOps mindset with experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building robust APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Must be based in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI/ML-powered personalization or recommendation systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, encryption, secrets management).
• Familiarity with observability tools like Kibana and Grafana.
