What you will do

• Design and maintain high-performance Java services (Spring Boot WebFlux/MVC) for real-time trading and massive data throughput.
• Own the full stack from code to cloud, architecting solutions and deploying to Kubernetes (AWS EKS) via CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to deliver high-impact onboarding and engagement features.
• Implement critical observability, monitoring, and tracing using Grafana, Honeycomb, and OpenTelemetry.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive excellence in scalability, security, and performance.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve overall code quality.

Requirements

• Extensive backend engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST/gRPC, and reactive patterns.
• Battle-tested experience running production workloads on Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching layers (Redis).
• Strong DevOps skills, including GitLab CI, Terraform, and container orchestration.
• Must be based in or able to work from Kraków, Poland to support the hybrid work model.
• Strong English-language communication skills for working within globally distributed teams.
