Site Reliability Engineer II (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design systems with a focus on resilience, graceful degradation, and capacity planning.
• Define and measure SLIs and SLOs that accurately reflect the customer experience.
• Build signal-heavy observability using Datadog (metrics, logging, APM) and CloudWatch.
• Configure alerting and routing through incident.io to streamline incident management and on-call processes.
• Continuously improve the incident lifecycle, from detection and triage to blameless post-mortems.
• Combine software engineering fundamentals with reliability thinking to ensure high availability and debuggability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in an SRE or Software Engineering role.
• Hands-on coding proficiency in Python and/or Go.
• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep fluency in reliability metrics including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Must be based in Mexico; the company is unable to provide visa sponsorship or immigration support.

• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development to reduce toil and accelerate RCA.
• Experience planning strategic reliability initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
