Android Technical Lead (Android)

Location: Remote from Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, or Poland, or from the listed offices in Almaty, Astana, Belgrade, Cluj-Napoca, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Krakow, Kyiv, Larnaca, Lodz, Lublin, Lviv, Odesa, Riga, Sofia, Tbilisi, Varna, Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Yerevan.

What you will do

• Lead technical direction for Android kiosk applications and participate in architecture, development, and delivery.
• Develop full-stack application features, including backend integrations and UI implementation.
• Design scalable, maintainable solutions and contribute to architectural and technology decisions.
• Promote coding standards, technical documentation, automated testing, and product quality.
• Mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, QA, Design, and stakeholders, and refine requirements.
• Address performance issues and technical debt, research new tools, and support release planning and critical production releases.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with solid team leadership experience.
• Experience leading technical initiatives in the Android kiosk domain.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalable systems, and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, cloud platforms, API integrations, and distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing, quality engineering, technical leadership, and mentoring.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• CI/CD pipelines, modern DevOps practices, and observability solutions.
• Hardware and peripheral integrations, including scanners, printers, sensors, and USB devices.
• Database design, query optimization, mobile performance, and security best practices.
• Android XML, Jetpack Compose, Dagger, Retrofit, and Agile development experience.
