Machine Learning Engineer Intern (Summer 2026)

TL;DR

Machine Learning Engineer Intern: Build and operate pipelines behind AI-driven applications, Agents, Chatbots with an accent on MLOps, deployment, monitoring on Kubernetes in cloud. Focus on partnering with data scientists and engineers, leveraging hirify.global products for AI initiatives, and publishing model insights at scale.

Location: In office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX, US. Available locations: Austin, Texas, US. Internship dates: June 8 - August 28 or June 22 - September 11. Ability to commit to a 12 week summer internship.

What you will do

• Deploy, monitor, and support ML applications and services on Kubernetes in cloud.
• Understand MLOps landscape, tooling, tech stack, and implement new tools for ML and AI initiatives.
• Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and internal teams to deliver ML solutions in a globally distributed environment.
• Leverage hirify.global products and services for AI and ML initiatives.
• Apply software engineering best practices to publish model scores, insights, and learnings at scale.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, or Javascript
• Strong software engineering mindset, proficiency in shell scripts, CLI utilities, and git
• Knowledge of AI agents, inference-time optimization, LLM evaluations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and handle ambiguous requirements
• Ability to commit to 12-week summer internship and work in office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container-based deployments such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud
• Experience with AI-assisted coding, building with hirify.global developer platform
