Big Data Analyst

TL;DR

Big Data Analyst (SQL/PySpark): Querying and processing large-scale datasets in cloud environments with an accent on building audience segments based on user behavior and identifying application hosts from traffic data. Focus on monitoring data accuracy, generating insights and trends, conducting A/B tests, and developing automated data processes.

Location: Full remote with possibility to visit the office

What you will do

• Query and process large datasets using Trino (SQL) and PySpark in AWS.
• Identify and analyze application hosts/domains based on traffic data.
• Build audience segments using website activity, call data, behavioral patterns, and segment rules.
• Monitor and audit data accuracy and completeness; organize data into usable formats.
• Create visualizations and reports (Power BI or similar); generate insights, identify trends.
• Conduct A/B tests; develop and maintain automated data processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience with SQL (Trino, Presto, or similar).
• Experience with large-scale datasets in distributed environments (AWS, PySpark).
• Excellent Excel knowledge and confident usage.
• High attention to detail; ability to gain knowledge from large data volumes.
• Basic statistics knowledge; experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving; familiarity with Jira, Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience with telecom data.
• Understanding of web/app traffic and domain classification.
• Knowledge of Python.
