Location: Hybrid in Cardiff, UK (requires 3 days onsite each week)

What you will do

• Implement functional and performant in-engine UI systems using UE5's Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) framework.
• Develop technical solutions for complex UI scenarios leveraging Material Blueprints and HLSL shaders.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to align creative vision with technical execution.
• Build and maintain efficient UI asset workflows and templates within UE5 to optimize delivery speed.
• Integrate UX flows and UI visuals ensuring alignment with design best practices and UE5 rendering capabilities.
• Iterate on UI based on design reviews and proactively identify opportunities for visual polish.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a UI Technical Artist or equivalent role in game development.
• Proven track record of shipping at least one title through to release.
• Strong proficiency with UE5 UMG, including widget Blueprints, animations, and complex layout systems.
• Deep expertise with shaders as applied to UI in UE5 (Material Blueprints, HLSL).
• Working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Cardiff, UK for 3 days onsite per week.

• Console certification experience (Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5).
