What you will do

• Develop and improve the Japanese power market product offering by integrating load, price, and regulatory data.
• Monitor data coverage and quality while identifying and prioritizing new data sources.
• Research and produce actionable insights and commentary on Japanese power trends for stakeholders and social media.
• Collaborate with LNG and coal teams to embed cross-commodity views into the power offering.
• Engage with clients, media, and industry participants to promote hirify.global's market research.
• Work with commercial and product teams to articulate and address client needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience analyzing Asian commodity markets.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex datasets with advanced Excel skills.
• Coding experience in SQL, Python, or VBA for data analysis and model development.
• Strong understanding of commodity/power markets, ideally with experience in Japan.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics or a quantitative topic.
