Group Leader (M&A)

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of acquired software companies in line with Vesta's strategy.
• Support portfolio companies with commercial initiatives, growth, operational improvement, change, and turnarounds.
• Coach local managing directors on business best practices and domain mastery.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams with local and global executives.
• Identify and analyze potential acquisition targets, build the deal pipeline, and prioritize M&A topics.
• Prepare transaction proposals and support negotiations on deal terms.

Requirements

• University degree and an academic mindset; an MBA is an asset.
• Fluent Hungarian and English, spoken and written.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, ideally spanning M&A, integrations, and management, with greater emphasis on management experience.
• Experience with software and technology, business development, leadership, and operational improvement.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, influencing, analytical, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of M&A processes including due diligence, financials, valuations, markets, and transaction negotiation.
