Geospatial Analyst (GIS)

TL;DR

Geospatial Analyst (GIS): Processing digital satellite and image data to generate high-accuracy geospatial products with an accent on image enhancement and coordinate systems. Focus on delivering high-volume geospatial deliverables, manipulating imagery via Photoshop, and utilizing GIS software tools.

Location: Must be able to be onsite in Melbourne, FL Monday-Friday

Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Process digital satellite and image data to create highly accurate geospatial products.
• Perform image processing tasks to meet specific customer expectations and deadlines.
• Utilize established production processes and exercise judgment regarding data quality and project criteria.
• Deliver a high volume of products on a monthly basis.
• Work within a close team environment following written and verbal directions.

Requirements

• United States Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• 1+ years of professional GIS experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience manipulating digital images using Photoshop or other enhancement software.
• Basic understanding of DMS and decimal coordinate systems, including latitude/longitude measurements.
• Computer competency in Windows environment.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of industry-standard tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Familiarity with Linux or UNIX operating systems.
• Military mapping experience.
