Senior Software Engineer (Android Automotive)

What you will do

• Analyze product requirements and liaise with R&D and developers to define framework configuration for customer projects.
• Implement customer-specific speech dialog interfaces using Android infrastructure, AIDL, and dependencies to native interfaces and speech-controlled applications.
• Perform memory and CPU measurements, optimize latency, consumption, and startup time on target platforms.
• Collaborate with project team on localization, reproduction, and resolution of defects.
• Work with framework team on optimal configurations and improvements for automotive speech assistants.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of work experience
• Strong experience with Android, Java, Kotlin, and C/C++
• Detailed understanding of Android architecture (AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, Android Framework, AOSP)
• Programming with Python scripting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or equivalent
