What you will do

• Port the Windows Server Target for a large Unreal Engine title to Linux while maintaining parity and stability.
• Build, maintain, and extend dedicated game servers to ensure reliability across Windows and Linux.
• Profile and optimize server performance, memory usage, and tick stability for production.
• Diagnose and resolve platform-specific bugs and behavioral differences between builds.
• Collaborate with partner studio engineers to deliver server-side features and integrations.
• Manage cross-platform builds using CI, toolchains, and build systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with C++.
• Cross-platform development experience targeting both Windows and Linux.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including building and debugging C++ applications.
• Ability to write maintainable and portable code for large shared codebases.
• Must be based in the US (specifically NY, CT, DE, GA, KS, MA, MD, NC, ND, OH, PA, TX, or WI).

Nice to have

• Experience developing and shipping commercial games.
• Unreal Engine experience with dedicated servers, replication, or networking.
• Knowledge of server-side systems like matchmaking, session management, and anti-cheat.
• Experience with Docker, orchestration, and observability stacks on Linux.
• Experience with BaaS providers such as PlayFab or Edgegap.
