TL;DR

Senior SAP ABAP Consultant (FI/CO): Sustaining legacy SAP ECC environments and integrating them with e-invoicing and tax reporting infrastructures using EDICOM middleware with an accent on compliance with CTC regulations in MEA and MEU countries. Focus on developing IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and custom enhancements for data extraction, validation, and transmission to government portals.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain RICEFW objects in SAP ECC for extracting tax-relevant data to meet new mandates.
  • Configure IDoc/RFC interfaces between SAP ECC and EDICOM platform, mapping data to XML formats.
  • Implement solutions for data transmission to national portals like UAE Peppol, Oman's Fawtara, and EU APIs.
  • Support UAE E-Invoicing pilot and rollout, plus ongoing EU B2B e-invoicing and VAT reporting.
  • Deploy EDI/IDoc integrations with local systems and government portals.
  • Participate in unit, integration, and UAT testing using INT4 and Tricentis Tosca.
  • Handle data migration for master data and open transactions with audit trail integrity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years as ABAP Lead Consultant with 3+ full-cycle implementations in complex tax localization.
  • Deep expertise in IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs for SAP ECC to EDICOM integration.
  • Proficiency in BAdIs, BTEs, User Exits for tax data capture without standard code changes.
  • Custom tables/views for legal requirements, mapping to XML/JSON (UBL 2.1).
  • Adobe Forms/SmartForms for PDF/A-3 invoices with signatures and QR codes.
  • Expert in EU VAT, XRechnung, KSeF, ZATCA Phase 2, UAE EES.
  • Professional fluency in English for global teams and Tax/Legal-IT bridging.
  • Bachelor’s in IT, Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.

Nice to have

  • SAP Certification in ECC or S/4HANA ABAP.
  • Certifications in SAP Tax Compliance or DRC.
