TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Cybersecurity): Provide technical assistance to partners and customers for FortiGate firewalls and security devices with an accent on troubleshooting, issue reproduction in lab, and collaboration with R&D teams. Focus on real-time remote sessions, networking protocols analysis, and recommending corrective actions based on data.

Office-based role in Kelsterbach, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; or Guadalajara, Spain

What you will do

  • Provide technical assistance to hirify.global-certified partners and customers for FortiGate firewalls and other devices.
  • Conduct real-time troubleshooting sessions via phone or remote access.
  • Test and reproduce customer issues in the laboratory.
  • Recommend corrective actions based on analysis and data.
  • Report software/hardware issues to R&D department.
  • Acquire knowledge through training, round tables, and self-learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-6 years in IT or technical support role
  • Experience in telecommunications, networking, or security industry
  • Good knowledge of OSI model
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching
  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Positive, customer-oriented attitude with excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

  • Industry certificates (NSE4, CCNA, Security+).
  • Knowledge of dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP).
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (LDAP, SSO, 2FA).
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Experience with security devices (firewalls, IPS, mail gateways).
