What you will do

• Manage the security service desk, monitor alerts, and perform thorough incident triage.
• Experiment with AI and automation to reduce operational toil in security workflows.
• Respond to security requests from engineering and cloud teams with empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain and tune security tools and configurations to prevent alert fatigue and miss real threats.
• Participate in on-call rotations and document incidents to facilitate team learning.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in security operations, SOC analysis, or incident response.
• Hands-on experience writing detection rules and investigating alerts to distinguish real threats from noise.
• Strong knowledge of security fundamentals, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and log analysis.
• Basic cloud security experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, specifically IAM, security groups, and logging.
• Must be based in Canada, the US, or the UK.
