• Deliver unified messaging experience integrating secure messaging, SMS, and future channels into a reliable workflow.
• Raise technical bar in Communications group through strong Ruby and web application design, collaboration, and feedback.
• Enable consistent, efficient shipping while considering scale, cost, and maintainability.
• Connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes for improved practice communication.
• Lead by example with clear communication, ownership, architectural reasoning, and tradeoff navigation.

Requirements

• Strong experience building production Ruby applications in commercial environments.
• Experience designing, building, and operating web applications at scale for tens of thousands of customers.
• Background in early-stage startups, established companies, or both, with adaptability to structure and ambiguity.
• Full-stack capability across backend and frontend codebases.
• Strong communication and architectural reasoning skills for guiding technical decisions.
