What you will do

• Design performant and scalable data pipelines to process internal and external data.
• Manage data operations, including engagement with data vendors and ensuring overall data quality.
• Implement automated data quality checks and alert systems to monitor and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop access control and usage audit solutions to ensure security and compliance.
• Research and evaluate latest data technologies to keep the platform competitive.
• Collaborate with investment and trading teams to provide timely data access and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a similar engineering background.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the hedge fund industry.
• Proficiency in at least one static language such as Java or C#.
• Familiarity with the Python-based data processing ecosystem.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including best practices and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Apache data tool stack (Airflow, Spark, Kafka, etc.).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with KDB or other specialized databases.
• Experience with real-time streaming data processing.
• Experience with storage cost optimization and high-availability data center hardware.
