What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 3 on GCP.
• Own full development lifecycle for new platform features, from technical design and requirement clarification to testing and deployment.
• Tackle complex Shopify API integrations and business logic challenges in accounting and e-commerce domains.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate in code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional backend experience with strong Java and Spring Boot skills; experience with AI coding tools.
• Expertise in designing and consuming Shopify GraphQL APIs and third-party integrations.
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, PubSub).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills for navigating ambiguity.
• Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., Gitlab), and agile practices.
• Clear communication and effective team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Released Embedded Shopify App (Polaris).
• Experience in fast-paced SaaS environments.
• Domain knowledge in accounting or e-commerce.
• Relational databases (MySQL) or NoSQL.
