What you will do

• Create high-detail 3D creatures from realistic animals with modifications and original fictional designs.
• Match concept art faithfully, filling gaps with appropriate anatomy, materials, and silhouette.
• Define clear hierarchy of primary, secondary, and tertiary forms.
• Optimize models for real-time rendering while preserving artistic quality.
• Work closely with concept artists, technical animators, and game designers.

Requirements

• 5+ years in game industry, including at least 2 years creating creatures/animals for AAA titles
• Skills in fur, feathers, or scales via texture cards or geometry
• Strong real-life animal anatomy knowledge, adaptable to fictional designs
• Portfolio with realistic creatures (viewport screenshots, wireframes, texel density)
• Proficiency in ZBrush, Maya/Blender/3ds Max, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag
• Clean animation-suitable topology, understanding of technical constraints (poly budgets, LODs, normal maps, baking)
