About the Role:

We are hiring an experienced FPGA Engineer to join Semidynamics — a European semiconductor innovator developing advanced RISC-V processor IP solutions for AI, HPC, and next-generation computing systems.

The role focuses on FPGA-based emulation and prototyping environments for high-performance RISC-V architectures. You will work on complex FPGA integrations, timing optimization, RTL implementation, and collaboration with software and firmware teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate RTL releases into FPGA designs
• Develop and improve FPGA emulation and prototyping platforms
• Configure FPGA peripherals for optimized RISC-V system performance
• Implement custom RTL modules and I/O configurations
• Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams
• Maintain and enhance internal FPGA infrastructure
• Support demonstration systems and develop new platform features

Requirements:

• 7+ years of FPGA engineering experience
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field
• Strong experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGA platforms
• Hands-on expertise with Vivado or Quartus
• Solid knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL
• Experience with AXI4, UART, I2C, SPI protocols
• FPGA timing closure and placement constraints (SDC)
• TCL and Bash scripting
• Linux environments and Git workflows
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Python
• Fluent English communication skills (C1+) — spoken and written

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Xilinx Block Designs and IP integration
• RTL simulation and testbench development
• High-end FPGA platforms (Virtex Ultrascale / Ultrascale+)
• PCIe, Ethernet, Aurora, or CHI protocols
• Hardware debugging and lab equipment usage
