Staff Software Engineer (Identity)

Location: Hybrid, with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month employees come into the office

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for the identity platform, including authentication flows, identity-provider federation, and fine-grained authorization.
• Design and deliver a unified identity experience across payment, custody, and liquidity products.
• Build and operate platform services on Kubernetes with a focus on reliability, observability, and secure secret management.
• Partner with security, compliance, and product teams to translate regulatory requirements into platform capabilities.
• Write technical proposals, contribute to architecture discussions, and mentor engineers through code reviews and design feedback.

Requirements

• Backend engineering experience with Golang or Java, including production applications running in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience designing or contributing to identity systems, preferably in multi-tenant or federated contexts.
• Hands-on daily use of AI coding assistants and LLM-based engineering tools.
• Experience collaborating across teams and writing design documents that build alignment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML authentication protocols in production environments.
• Experience with policy-as-code authorization approaches, including attribute-based, relationship-based, or hybrid models.
