Senior Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $185,000 – $215,000

What you will do

• Engage with mission stakeholders to identify challenges and modernization opportunities
• Conduct trade studies and produce technical research reports with recommendations
• Design and execute short-duration fail-fast experiments to validate feasibility
• Lead proof-of-concept solution development within six-week timelines with weekly milestones
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prototypes into operations
• Plan replatforming and rearchitecting monolithic apps into cloud-native solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics (or equivalent)
• Minimum 14 years of relevant experience in software engineering, modernization, or solution architecture
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript (ReactJS)
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3), REST-based services, Docker, Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, PKI, and Agile environments

Nice to have

• Experience with graph databases (Amazon Neptune, Neo4j)
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Experience with Keycloak, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), Maven
• Designing scalable cloud-native architectures for mission systems
