TL;DR
Systems Administrator (Linux/Windows): Manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux systems with an accent on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Focus on providing Tier I/II support, vulnerability management with Nessus, and ensuring compliance with NIST and security parameters.
Location: Onsite in Germantown, MD. U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR and active TS/SCI clearance
Salary: $85,500 - $121,275

What you will do
- Provide Tier I and II IT support and resolve problems across client/server/storage/network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Linux and Windows systems.
- Support vulnerability management using Nessus and maintain POA&Ms.
- Patch systems based on security and functional parameters.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors on system specifications and refreshes.
- Analyze escalated issues and provide actionable feedback.
Requirements
- Comptia Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification
- Minimum 7+ years of system administration experience
- Strong RedHat Linux and Windows troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Nessus, POA&Ms, and NIST requirements
- Experience configuring Linux and Windows environments
- Active TS/SCI DoD clearance and qualify as U.S. person under ITAR
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with virtual environments and system capacity planning
