Site Engineer

TL;DR

Site Engineer (Laboratory Monitoring): Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of laboratory monitoring systems with an accent on calibration, validation, temperature mapping, and customer training. Focus on diagnosing faults, conducting site surveys, preparing quotations, and ensuring compliance with ISO procedures and company standards.

Location: Field-based role primarily in Leeds and surrounding areas, UK. Travel to sites further afield and overnight stays may be required.

What you will do

• Carry out installations, commissioning, qualification testing, temperature mapping, and customer training within timescales and budgets.
• Perform calibrations, validations, routine/emergency services, product updates, and fault diagnosis.
• Undertake on-call duties, site surveys, quotations for system extensions, and act as project manager on specific projects.
• Maintain documentation, van stocks, equipment, and company vehicle.
• Contribute to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 continuous improvement and comply with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• PC literate with all MS Office suite and aptitude to learn new software quickly, including Windows.
• Persistent, resilient, self-motivated, with high initiative for autonomous, accurate work.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal skills, customer focus, and flexibility.
• Ability to absorb information quickly, manage time effectively, and handle on-call rota.
