TL;DR

Lead Localization Engineer (Robotics/SLAM): Developing automotive-grade SLAM technologies and spatial intelligence for road-legal autonomous platforms with an accent on HD map fusion and multi-modal sensor integration. Focus on achieving decimeter-level accuracy in urban canyons and deploying low-latency solutions on NVIDIA Orin.

What you will do

• Design and implement localization strategies that match real-time sensor data against High-Definition (HD) Vector Maps.
• Lead the development of tightly-coupled SLAM architectures using LiDAR, Vision, Odometry, and IMU.
• Build cost-efficient SLAM solutions optimized for low-cost hardware and ensure long-term map stability.
• Deploy high-performance code on NVIDIA Orin focusing on deterministic output and Functional Safety (SOTIF) principles.
• Develop automated toolchains for map generation, updates, and cloud management.
• Collaborate with Perception and Planning teams to provide low-latency pose estimation and semantic map data.

Requirements

• Master's degree or above in CS, Robotics, Automation, Geomatics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of SLAM R&D experience in robotics or autonomous driving.
• Full-cycle experience in at least one mass-produced product.
• Expert proficiency in C++, Linux, and ROS 2.
• Mastery of LiDAR SLAM (LOAM, LIO-SAM) or Visual SLAM (VINS, ORB-SLAM3).
• Practical experience in SLAM acceleration using CUDA or TensorRT.

Nice to have

• Experience in semantic SLAM, dynamic SLAM, or managing maps for large-scale urban scenes.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and innovative problem-solving.
• Understanding of State Estimation Integrity (Protection Levels/EPE) for safety-critical navigation.
