What you will do

• Understand customer requirements and incorporate them into software architecture.
• Design and develop programs and libraries for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, systems, hardware, and QA teams.
• Engage with Field Applications team to solve customer problems.
• Work with Software QA to devise test strategies and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Computer Science degree with 5+ years experience
• Advanced to Expert knowledge of C++
• Strong C++ Object Oriented design and programming skills
• Experience implementing software that interacts with hardware (FPGAs and ASICs)
• Knowledge of Windows and experience with Visual Studio
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, STL Library, and source code control (GIT preferred)
• English Proficiency
• Ability to present ideas to groups and self-directed self-starter

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with hardware designers, schematics, and direct hardware interaction
• Software development for embedded systems, microcontrollers, or small devices (Raspberry Pi, etc.)
• Experience with Windows device drivers (KMDF), Windows OS Internals
• Experience delivering products to customers and instrument design/control
• ATE experience
