Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake): Design, build, and maintain Snowflake data pipelines in a fast-paced consulting environment with an accent on reverse-engineering existing data products and leveraging AI-assisted development tools like Snowflake Cortex. Focus on applying ML and analytical models, collaborating with client stakeholders, and independently troubleshooting complex issues.

Location: Remote (US-based candidates only). Must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Compensation: $75/hr W-2 Hourly or $90/hr on C2C.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Snowflake data pipelines for enterprise initiatives.
• Reverse-engineer existing data products and architectures to accelerate development.
• Apply Snowflake Cortex, Snowflake Intelligence, or equivalent LLM/AI tools in development workflows.
• Leverage ML and analytical models to enhance data solutions and deliver insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders, communicating progress and blockers.
• Troubleshoot issues independently and document pipelines for knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
• Proven experience with Snowflake data pipeline development (ingestion, transformation, orchestration).
• Hands-on experience using LLM-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and design.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex Code or comparable AI coding platforms.
• Ability to read, analyze, and reverse-engineer existing data products and queries.
• Strong SQL skills; Snowpark, dbt, or Python experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated accountability in owning outcomes.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Snowflake Cortex for AI-assisted development.
• Exposure to Snowflake Intelligence or similar features.
• Experience integrating ML/analytical models in Snowflake.
• Background in IT consulting or client-facing roles.
• SnowPro certification (Core or Advanced: Data Engineer).
