What you will do
- Develop shaders, textures, geometry, and particle systems for realistic AAA-quality VFX.
- Simulate believable dynamics to animate game assets.
- Maintain expert knowledge of VFX software and workflows for real-time in-game effects.
- Develop tools and processes to support the VFX pipeline.
- Resolve VFX issues with engineers and technical artists.
- Report progress, manage source control, and adapt to proprietary pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in VFX entertainment production
- At least one shipped AAA title as an FX Artist
Nice to have
- Production knowledge of Maya or 3DS Max, Houdini.
- Comprehensive VFX production pipelines and game limitations.
- VFX tools like Maya nCloth, FumeFX, Embergen, Houdini Pyro.
- Extensive game engine experience, Photoshop/Substance Designer, After Effects/Nuke.
- Shaders, node-based systems, scripts, proprietary tools.
- Profile performance, UE5/Unity, consoles/PC, Python/MEL, Perforce.
