Staff Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead the design of high-speed digital circuit cards and subsystems following aerospace and military standards.
• Design PCBAs featuring FPGAs, processors, memory devices, and high-speed serial interfaces.
• Conduct signal integrity and power integrity analysis for high-speed interfaces and power distribution networks.
• Define critical PCB layout constraints, including controlled impedance, grounding, and shielding.
• Collaborate with FPGA, embedded software, RF, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
• Support the full lifecycle from board bring-up and troubleshooting to qualification testing and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in high-speed digital hardware, including timing, clocking, and return-path management.
• Hands-on experience with FPGAs, high-speed data converters, and board-level communication.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal measurement tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with Avionics platforms and Altium Designer.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC mitigation and standards (RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-461, etc.).
• Experience with high-speed interfaces like DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, JESD204, or SERDES.
• Proven track record of designing for manufacturability and production transition.
