Salary: $140,000 - $190,000 + equity

What you will do

• Define the EMI/EMC test and compliance philosophy for K2 Avionics.
• Lead the design of EMC test infrastructure, developing hardware and software to enable high-rate production testing.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to identify and correct EMI-susceptible designs.
• Investigate novel EMI mitigation solutions at the systems, component, and materials levels.
• Run comprehensive test campaigns to generate necessary deliverables for launch providers and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in an EMI/EMC related role with a strong grasp of first principles.
• Hands-on experience with MIL-STD-461 and SMC-S-008 standards.
• Experience designing differential and common-mode EMI filters.
• Ability to write software in Python, Rust, or similar languages for test automation.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) per ITAR export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with high voltage DCDC converter topologies and their impacts on EMI.
• Knowledge of high-speed digital communications protocols and relative EMI impacts.
• Experience using Altium Designer for PCBA design.
