Tech Lead (Python/FastAPI): Leading the technical direction of the Integrations team to minimize Time-to-Integration for SaaS clients with an accent on API design, sandbox environments, and developer experience. What you will do
- Own the architectural vision for external APIs and integration services, defining coding standards and leading system design.
- Develop a robust, isolated sandbox system using Docker tooling to allow clients to validate integrations independently.
- Design and maintain versioned APIs and implement a client-side SDK strategy based on market demand.
- Manage the client documentation portal (Help Arena) and build internal tools for customer success teams.
- Automate client onboarding workflows to identify and remove bottlenecks in the integration cycle.
- Mentor junior engineers through hands-on guidance and structured feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a Senior or Lead role.
- Expert-level Python with production experience in FastAPI.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful API design, JWT, OAuth 2.0, and webhook patterns.
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka for asynchronous communication.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React for maintaining client-facing portals.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
Nice to have
- Experience designing and distributing public SDKs.
- Knowledge of other languages like Go, Java, or PHP.
- Experience with Documentation-as-Code (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Background in Developer Relations (DevRel).
