TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (C#/Java): Take ownership of features across Inventory Lab’s C# and Java-based systems, delivering them from initial design through to production with an accent on clean, scalable services, APIs, and components. Focus on designing maintainable, well-tested, performant systems, debugging production issues, evolving architecture, and collaborating with Product, QA, and DevOps.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of features across Inventory Lab’s C# and Java-based systems from design to production.
  • Design and build clean, scalable services, APIs, and components that are maintainable, well-tested, and performant.
  • Operate independently, make technical decisions balancing speed and quality, debug production issues, and implement fixes.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, evolve architecture, and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver value to ecommerce sellers managing inventory, listings, accounting, and operations.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in C# and Java
  • Experience building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and scalable application components
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, system design, and scalable application patterns
  • Experience with SQL databases and data modelling
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
  • Experience debugging production systems independently
  • Comfortable with Git, code reviews, and team-based development
  • Ability to work across existing codebase and improve quality without over-engineering
